Daniel Mekinda

Daniel Mekinda is executive vice-president at WPP Media Canada, where he leads both Motion Entertainment and Sports + Entertainment. Most recently Daniel was at dentsu Canada, leading global sales and partnerships after six years of leading their content agency, and spent more than a decade before that in music and entertainment. In his current role at WPP Media, Daniel oversees all areas of media partnerships, talent and influencers, sponsorship consulting, experiential marketing and branded content.  He also works with advertisers, broadcasters, platforms, and production companies to identify, create and distribute IP that brings value to all stakeholders. Daniel holds an undergraduate degree in Law and an M.B.A. from The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
